Ganga Sagar Mela
गंगा सागर मेला सेवा – श्रद्धा में सेवा की मिसाल
Serving Pilgrims on the Path of Faith
The Ganga Sagar Mela, held every year during Makar Sankranti, is one of the largest spiritual gatherings in India. Pilgrims from across the country travel to the sacred confluence of the Ganges and the Bay of Bengal to take a holy dip and seek divine blessings.
At Shri Kashi Vishwanath Seva Samiti, we feel deeply honored to serve these devotees by providing essential support during their sacred journey.
Why Ganga Sagar Matters
Every year, millions of pilgrims– young, old, and from all walks of life- undertake this challenging journey to Ganga Sagar. Many of them face physical hardships, long travel hours, and a lack of basic facilities along the way.
Our Samiti steps in to make their pilgrimage safer, more comfortable, and spiritually fulfilling—bridging faith with compassion.
Our Role at Ganga Sagar Mela
Through our annual Seva Camp, we provide:
Free meals (भोजन सेवा):
Nutritious, sattvic food served with care to thousands of pilgrims.
First-aid and basic medical support:
Addressing minor health issues, fatigue, and travel-related ailments.
Resting shelters:
Temporary spaces with mats and covers for pilgrims to rest, especially the elderly.
Guidance and volunteer support:
Helping devotees navigate the mela area and offering emotional comfort to those in distress.
Seva in Action
Our Ganga Sagar camp is not just a service point- it’s a reflection of our belief that every pilgrim deserves dignity, comfort, and care on their spiritual path.
Volunteers’ workday and night- cooking, cleaning, distributing food and water, guiding devotees- all with folded hands and smiling hearts.
"यात्रा उनकी आस्था है, सेवा हमारा धर्म।"
“Their journey is faith. Our service is duty.”
